When there is an excess of skin and fat on the inner arm, there is a procedure to remove them. This can happen due to significant weight gain but is also a sign of aging. An initial liposuction is carried out to reduce the infiltration of fat. The excess skin is resected and fixed at the aponeurotic and muscular levels. An unobtrusive incision is made inside the arm which leaves a vertical scar. The process is performed under general nesthesia.
During an autopsy, improvement of swelling or bruises may appear there, but these are eventually reabsorbed. Support dressing (and elastic drape of the pantie girdle sort) is tested and left on for a few days. So while the procedure effectively eliminates excess skin and fat it does leave a visible scar.
